What is "ictqatar"

ictQATAR, the Supreme Council of Information & Communication Technology, is Qatar’s independent telecommunications regulator and the Government’s technology advocate and facilitator. The Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, established ictQATAR, in 2004, to accelerate the transformation of Qatar into an information-based society. In June 2013, the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (ictQATAR) was established within the new cabinet formation announced to be an extension of the Supreme Council of Information and Communication Technology.
