An ice palace or ice castle is a castle-like structure made of blocks of ice. These blocks are usually harvested from nearby rivers or lakes when they become frozen in winter. The first known ice palace (or, rather, ice house, ледяной дом in Russian) appeared in St. Petersburg, Russia and was the handiwork of Empress Anna.

Ice Palace is an action-adventure game designed by Paul Norris and published by Creative Sparks for the Commodore 64 in 1985. It is unrelated to neither 1984's Commodore 64 game Ice Palace by K-Tel International nor to 1988's Beyond the Ice Palace. The game tells the story of a crown prince's quest to break an evil spell, save his land, and avenge his father. It was mostly well received by critics but failed commercially.
