Hypocarp
Hypocarp \Hy"po*carp\, Hypocarpium \Hy`po*car"pi*um\, n. [NL. hypocarpium, fr. Gr. "ypo` beneath + ? fruit.] (Bot.) A fleshy enlargement of the receptacle, or for the stem, below the proper fruit, as in the cashew. See Illust. of Cashew.
