Hypnogenic \Hyp`no*gen"ic\, a. [Gr. ? sleep + root of ? to be born.] (Physiol.) Relating to the production of hypnotic sleep; as, the so-called hypnogenic pressure points, pressure upon which is said to cause an attack of hypnotic sleep.
