Hyllestad is a municipality in the county of Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Sogn. The administrative center is the village of Hyllestad. Other villages in the municipality include Sørbøvågen and Leirvik.
Hyllestad municipality has existed since 1862 when it was created from parts of the neighboring municipalities of Askvoll and Lavik. Hyllestad is located on the north side of the Sognefjorden, near the mouth of the fjord.
Hyllestad is the administrative centre of Hyllestad Municipality in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. The village is located at the end of the Hyllestadfjorden, about northwest of the village of Bø and about southeast of the village of Sørbøvågen.
The village of Hyllestad is the municipal centre and it is the site of the municipal government, local secondary school, bank, post office, and stores. Hyllestad Church is also located in this village, although it was historically located about to the northeast on the Hyllestad farm.
