Hygiea can related to one of two concepts:

• The asteroid Hygiea
• Misspelling form of Hygieia who is a figure in Greek mythology, one of two goddesses of medicine/health - specifically "preventative" medicine, as distinguished from her sister - Panacea; the goddess of "treatment" medicine. The two complementary aspects are considered to be the daughters of Asklepios, the god of medicine.
