Hydrosome \Hy"dro*some\, Hydrosoma \Hy`dro*so"ma\, n. [NL. hydrosoma. See Hydra, and -some body.] (Zo["o]l.) All the zooids of a hydroid colony collectively, including the nutritive and reproductive zooids, and often other kinds.
