Hydranth \Hy"dranth\, n. [Hydra + Gr. ? a flower.] (Zo["o]l.) One of the nutritive zooids of a hydroid colony. Also applied to the proboscis or manubrium of a hydroid medusa. See Illust. of Hydroidea.
