What is "hungpung"

Hungpung also called as Hundung is village located south of Ukhrul in Ukhrul district, Manipur state, India. The village falls under Ukhrul sub division. Hungpung borders with Hunphun ( Ukhrul) village. National highway 150 that connects Imphal-Ukhrul-Jessami passes through the village. The village is sub-divided into four major parts; Dungrei/Bumrei, Awungtang, Vashimtang and Kaziphung. Hungpung is flanked by Nungshong in the east, Pharung in the west, Shangshak in the south and Hunphun in the north. Hungpung is one of the largest villages in Ukhrul district.
