Hot Water (novel)

Hot Water is a novel by P.G. Wodehouse, first published on August 17, 1932, in the United Kingdom by Herbert Jenkins, London, and in the United States by Doubleday, Doran, New York. The novel had been serialised in Collier's from 21 May to 6 August 1932. It was subsequently adapted for the stage by Wodehouse and his long-time collaborator Guy Bolton as The Inside Stand (1935).

The story takes place at the Chateau Blissac, Brittany, and recounts the various romantic and criminal goings-on there. It contains a mixture of romance, intrigue and Wodehouse's brand of humour.

"Hot Water" is a single released in 1984 by the British musical group Level 42. It was released a couple of weeks before the album True Colours. The single reached #18 on the UK Singles Chart and was a top ten hit in the Netherlands and Norway. The song was produced by Ken Scott

In 1985, "Hot Water" and another True Colours song, "The Chant Has Begun", were tacked onto the US version of Level 42's breakthrough album, World Machine, in place of "I Sleep on My Heart," "Dream Crazy" (which only appeared on the European CD version of the album), and "Coup D'Etat." "Hot Water" was released as the US follow-up single to the World Machine breakthrough single, " Something About You" in 1986; it peaked at #87.

Hot Water (album)

Hot Water is the sixteenth studio album by American popular music singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett. It was released in June 1988 as MCA 42093 and was produced by Coral Reefer Band members Michael Utley, Russell Kunkel, and Ralph MacDonald. The album continues Buffett's use of a wide variety of musical instruments than was typical for Buffett's earlier works, notably horns and percussion. Jimmy Buffett shaved off his trademark mustache for the album.

Hot Water (American Dad!)

"Hot Water" is the first episode and season premiere of the eighth season of the animated comedy series American Dad!. It aired on Fox on September 25, 2011, and is written by Judah Miller and Murray Miller and directed by Chris Bennett. It was nominated for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program (for Programming Less Than One Hour).

In the episode, Cee Lo Green narrates this story of Stan buying a hot tub to relieve his daily stress, only to get into hot water when the hot tub begins killing his family and friends.

The song "Daddy's Gone" was performed by Scott Grimes and Seth McFarlane, and was made available for download at iTunes shortly after the episode aired.

Hot Water (1937 film)

Hot Water is a 1937 American comedy film directed by Frank R. Strayer and starring Jed Prouty, Shirley Deane and Spring Byington. It is part of the Jones Family series of films. The Jones father decides to run for mayor, leading the current incumbent to try and disgrace his son.

The film's sets were designed by the art director Chester Gore.
