Horse-leech

Horse-leech \Horse"-leech`\, n.

  1. (Zo["o]l.) A large blood-sucking leech ( H[ae]mopsis vorax), of Europe and Northern Africa. It attacks the lips and mouths of horses.

  2. A farrier; a veterinary surgeon.
