Holwierde
Holwierde (; Gronings: Holwier) is a village in the municipality of Delfzijl in the province of Groningen in the Netherlands. It lies about 26 km northeast of the city of Groningen.
In 2001, the town of Holwierde had 813 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.27 km², and contained 323 residences.
The statistical area "Holwierde", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 1040.
