What is "holungen"

Holungen is a village and a former municipality in the district of Eichsfeld in Thuringia, Germany. Since 1 December 2011, it is part of the municipality Sonnenstein. It lies approximately from the university town of Göttingen. With a population of around 1,000, it is one of the medium-sized villages in the district.
