Hlyboka

Hlyboka (; German and Polish: Hliboka; Romanian: Adâncata) is an urban-type settlement in the Chernivtsi Oblast of western Ukraine. It is the administrative center of the Hlybotsky Raion ( district).

The current estimated population is around 9,800.

Before World War II, large parts of lands of Hlyboka were owned by Polish noble families: until 1892 by Prince Adam Sapieha, then by Bronislaw Skibniewski (1830-1904) and later by his son Aleksander Skibniewski (1868-1942).
