Hlemmur (soundtrack)

Hlemmur is a soundtrack from 2002 composed and performed by the Icelandic band Sigur Rós. It is an instrumental electronic score to the Icelandic documentary Hlemmur, which is named after Reykjavík's main bus terminal. It was first sold to the public in the spring 2003 European and American tours. It is composed of 19 tracks, some of which are variations of the same theme. The film and the soundtrack were released together in a limited-edition DVD-CD package in August 2007 on the band's own label Krúnk.

Hlemmur (film)

Hlemmur is a 2002 Icelandic documentary directed by Ólafur Sveinsson from 2002. It is named after Reykjavík's main bus terminal and revolves around the lives of some unfortunate destitute men who spend most of their time there. The film received the 2003 Edda Award for Best Documentary.

The soundtrack of this documentary was composed and performed by Sigur Rós. The film and the soundtrack were released together in a limited-edition DVD-CD package in August 2007 on the band's label Krúnk. This was the first time the film was released.

Hlemmur (terminal)

Hlemmur is one of the two main bus stations/terminals for Strætó bs in Reykjavík, Iceland; the other main station/terminal is Lækjartorg. All the red 'trunk' routes operate from Hlemmur, while the green general routes all stop there.

The 2002 documentary Hlemmur tells about homeless people who spend most of their time in and around the bus station.
