What is "heteropathy"

Heteropathy \Het`er*op"a*thy\, n. [See Heteropathic.] (Med.) That mode of treating diseases, by which a morbid condition is removed by inducing an opposite morbid condition to supplant it; allopathy.

n. 1 unusual or abnormal sensitivity to stimuli. 2 The normal method of treating disease with remedies that produce effects differing from those produced by the disease itself.
