Heteromyaria \Het`e*ro*my*a"ri*a\, n. pl. [NL., fr. Gr. ? other + ? a muscle.] (Zo["o]l.) A division of bivalve shells, including the marine mussels, in which the two adductor muscles are very unequal. See Dreissena, and Illust. under Byssus.
