Hattusa

Hattusa ( Hittite: , Ḫa-at-tu-ša, read "Ḫattuša", ) was the capital of the Hittite Empire in the late Bronze Age. Its ruins lie near modern Boğazkale, Turkey, within the great loop of the Kızılırmak River (Hittite: Marashantiya; Greek: Halys).
