Hatim (TV series)

Hatim (, Arabic- Urdu:) is an Indian television series that originally aired on STAR Plus channel in 2003-4. It is about an Arab prince Hatim Tai, a pre-Islamic Christian from Yemen and the father of Adi bin Hatim and Safana bin Hatim who were the companions of Muhammad, Hatim has to solve seven questions to defeat the evil sorcerer lord Dajjal aided by Najumi. It has elements of fantasy. It was started by director Amrit Sagar, based on one of Jeetendra's films Hatim Tai. Hatim was one of the most watched television serial during its original run.

Syedna Hatim bin Ibrahim al-Hamidi (died 16 Muharram 596 AH (6 November 1199 AD), Al-Hutaib, Yemen) was the third Da'i al-Mutlaq (Absolute Missionary) of the Taiyabi Musta‘lī Bohra Islam. He was of the Banu Hamdan tribe of Yemen and succeeded his father, the 2nd Dai Sayedna Ibrahim, to the religious post.
