Håkøya
Håkøya is an island in Tromsø municipality, Norway. The island is located in the strait Sandnessundet between the island Kvaløya and Tromsø, southeast of Eidkjosen on Kvaløya.
The German battleship Tirpitz was at Håkøya from 15 October 1944 and was sunk by British bombers the same year on 12 November. A memorial to the ca. 1200 fallen on Tirpitz stands on Håkøya.
