Hadrianopolis
Hadrianopolis or Hadrianoupolis , sometimes written Adrianopolis, was the name of numerous cities in the ancient world, named after the Roman Emperor Hadrian. The Latin names, though generally superseded, are still used to name their episcopal sees (actual or titular).
