What is "gunungsin"

The Gunungsin ( Hangul: 군웅신, Hanja: 群雄神 or 軍雄神) are deities of war in Korean mythology. Their origin is shown in the Gunung Bonpuri, and are not to be confused with the Janggunsin, or historical generals (such as Choe Yeong or Kim Yushin) who were deitified after death. Gunungsin are true gods, and there is no historical evidence of them ever existing.
