What is "grupiara"

Grupiara is a Brazilian municipality located in the northwest of the state of Minas Gerais. Its population as of 2007 was 1,412 people living in a total area of 192 km². The city belongs to the mesoregion of Triângulo Mineiro e Alto Paranaíba and to the microregion of Patrocínio. It became a municipality in 1962.

Grupiara viridis is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae, the only species in the genus Grupiara.
