Griding
Gride \Gride\ (gr[imac]d), v. i. [imp. & p. p. Grided; p. pr.
& vb. n. Griding.] [For gird, properly, to strike with a
rod. See Yard a measure, and cf. Grid to strike, sneer.]
To cut with a grating sound; to cut; to penetrate or pierce
harshly; as, the griding sword.
