Grand Mogul

Mogul \Mo*gul"\, n. [From the Mongolian.]

  1. A person of the Mongolian race.

  2. Specifically: Any of the Mongolian peoples who conquered parts of India and established an empire lasting from 1526 to 1857. Also, any of their descendents.

  3. (Railroad) A heavy locomotive for freight traffic, having three pairs of connected driving wheels and a two-wheeled truck.

  4. A great personage; magnate; autocrat; as, an industrial mogul.

The Grand Mogul, at above sea level is a peak in the Sawtooth Range of Idaho. The peak is located in the Sawtooth Wilderness of Sawtooth National Recreation Area in Custer County. The peak is located north-northwest of Little Decker, its line parent. The Grand Mogul is at the southwest end of Redfish Lake and southeast of Mount Heyburn.
