Graebert GmbH (Gräbert in German) is a CAD software development company headquartered in Berlin, Germany with additional offices in America, Europe and Asia.
The company was founded in 1977 and it has a large installed base in the industry for 2D CAD. Graebert is the developer of the ARES CAD software.
Throughout its history, Graebert made several CAD innovations, from the first DWG drawing format compatible alternative to AutoCAD in 1994 to the first CAD software for mobile devices in 2000, and the first CAD software running on the three major operating systems (Windows, Mac OS X and Linux). In 2014 Graebert introduced a full-featured CAD app for tablets and smartphones and in 2015 a CAD platform for the cloud. All of which are natively based on the DWG file format.
In 2013, Graebert released building surveying software SiteMaster.
