Grabhouse

Grabhouse is a Mumbai-based real estate search portal founded by Pankhuri Shrivastava and Prateek Shukla in July 2013 which allows customers to search for houses, paying guests and apartments based on number of rooms, areas and various other criteria. It raised an undisclosed amount in seed funding from early-stage investment firm India Quotient and MV Krishnan, vice president (corporate treasury sales) at Deutsche Bank. Grabhouse had raised $2 Million in its Series A round led by Kalaari Capital Advisors. It uses an algorithm in its website that matches landlords to renters, much like matrimonial profiles. It has raised $500,000 from its existing investor India Quotient by July 2014. Working on a recommendation basis, a customer can find a house in its website on an urgent basis by paying a fixed nominal fee of ₹999, which also includes the rental agreement fee. Grabhouse told they will start offering legal agreement services to tenants/owners and make hostel registration process online. It has received an undisclosed amount of funding in two rounds and will raise another Rs 100 million in next few months.
