Godalsa
Godalsa or Godal Temple is an old temple located in currently Yeoju County, Gyeonggi Province of South Korea. The old site of the temple is registered as the historic spot no.382.
The temple was built in 764 under the reign of 35th king of Unified Silla, Gyeongdeok of Silla. In early years of Goryeo, the temple received strong protection of the power including the absolute king, Gwangjong of Goryeo. But later, the temple was left behind without the record of distinctive period. It is presumed for the temple to take hold of almost whole area of the village around 10th century.
The site is significantly important since three or more national treasures resides here. It is currently under the restoration construction.
