What is "glutination"

Glutination \Glu`ti*na"tion\, n. [L. glutinatio: cf. F. glutination.] The act of uniting with glue; sticking together.

n. 1 (context obsolete English) A gluing together; a joining together with, or as though with, glue. 2 (context medicine obsolete English) Something that is used to close up a wound or join together the parts of a broken bone, torn vein, etc; the process of applying such a glutination to a wound.
