Glutaraldehyde is an organic compound with the formula CH(CHCHO). A pungent colorless oily liquid, glutaraldehyde is used to sterilisaton agent and preservative. It is mainly available as an aqueous solution, and in these solutions the aldehyde groups are hydrated.
