What is "gemmiskiy"

Gemmiskiy is a historical site in Fuvahmulah, Maldives. It is located in the district of Dhadimago at the northern end of the island. Among the monuments of the Islamic period in Fuvahmulah, the most important is the Gemmiskiy. It consists of a neat compound including a coral stone mosque, an ancient graveyard and a well. Gemmiskiy is said to be the oldest mosque in Fuvammulah.
