Gaturro

Gaturro is the title of a famous Argentinian comic strip created by cartoonist Cristian Dzwonik ("Nik"). The comic has been published in more than 50 books, magazines and comic volumes. A 3D computer-animated film of the same name was released theatrically in Argentina on September 9, 2010. Gaturro is also the protagonist of the successful virtual world mundogaturro.com.

Gaturro (simply known as Gaturro, The Movie) is a 3D Argentine- Indian- Mexican CGI animated film based on the popular Argentine comic book of the same name created by Cristian Dzwonik. The film is produced by Illusion Studios, Toonz Animation, and co-produced by Ánima Estudios.

It was released in theaters September 21, 2010 in Argentina and was a box-office success. This film is also the first Indian- Latin American animated co-production.

The film was later released in Mexico on April 27, 2012 and was a huge box-office disappointment.

International rights are currently held by Voltage Pictures. The film was released direct-to-video in the United States, distributed by Viva Pictures, which was released on February 16, 2016.
