Garden orache

Orach \Or"ach\, Orache \Or"ache\, n. [F. arroche, corrupted fr. L. atriplex, Gr. ?. Cf. Arrach.] (Bot.) A genus ( Atriplex) of herbs or low shrubs of the Goosefoot family, most of them with a mealy surface.
