What is "gaozhou"

Gaozhou is a county-level city of Maoming City, southwestern Guangdong province of Southern China. It had a population of 1,288,665 as of 2010 census and a total area of 3270.8 km². The locals speak a variation of the Gaozhou dialect. It is best known for being the ancestral home of Leo Ku.
