Gandhidham is a city and a municipality in the Kutch District of Gujarat state of India. The town was created in the early 1950s for the resettlement of the refugees from Sindh (now in Pakistan) in the aftermath of the partition of India. Gandhidham is an economic capital of Kutch and it is a fast developing city in Gujarat state.It is a very beautiful city situated on west coast of India . The city bills itself as The Entertainment Capital of gujarat, and is famous for its great resorts and associated entertainment. A growing retirement and family city, Gandhidham is the 3rd-most populous city in State of gujarat. The city is a popular destinations for conventions, business, and meetings.[7]
Gandhidham assembly constituency is one of the 182 assembly constituency of Gujarat. It is located in Kutch District. It is reserved seat for member of scheduled caste. This seat is created after 2008 delimitation.
