Galactic poles

Galactic \Ga*lac"tic\, a. [Gr. ? milky, fr. ?, ?, milk. See Galaxy, and cf. Lactic.]

  1. Of or pertaining to milk; got from milk; as, galactic acid.

  2. Of or pertaining to the galaxy or Milky Way.
