What is "futurechurch"

FutureChurch is an organization that advocates for a variety of causes within the Roman Catholic Church, based in Lakewood, Ohio, FutureChurch advocates women's ordination to the permanent diaconate and an end to mandatory priestly celibacy, and has been characterized as "liberal" by the press.

Although FutureChurch has been characterized as a "national" or even "international" group, it is active primarily in the Cleveland metropolitan area. The executive director of FutureChurch is Deborah Rose-Milavec.
