FuGENE

FuGENE® is the name given to a series of non- liposomal transfection reagents produced by Fugent LLC of Wisconsin, USA, and marketed globally by Promega. They are used to facilitate the insertion of RNA or plasmid DNA into cultured cells.

Currently marketed are FuGENE® 6 which has been used for many years in cell biology research, appearing in over 10,000 publications, and FuGENE® HD which is intended for hard-to-transfect cell lines. FuGENE® HD is utilized in a broad range of research and pharmaceutical areas from stem cell therapy to lentiviral production as well as CRISPR.
