What is "frightwig"

Frightwig formed as an all-female American feminist punk band by Deanna Ashley and Mia Levin in San Francisco, California in 1982. After many line-up changes, Frightwig retired in 1994 to raise children and focus on other career paths.

Frightwig reformed in 2012 with Rebecca Sevrin and Rachel Thoele. Frightwig's current line-up is Deanna Mitchell, Mia d'Bruzzi, Cecilia Kuhn and Eric Drew Feldman. A third album is due for release in 2015, their first 1986.
