One of two trading post forts with this name that were located in what is now South Dakota.
- Fort Pierre (1831 - 1857), originally named Fort Pierre Chouteau or Fort Chouteau. Renamed Fort Pierre in 1833 and purchased by the U. S. Army in 1855 and renamed "[Fort Bennett]". Site is located within Fort Chouteau Park in the city of Fort Pierre, South Dakota.
- Fort Pierre (1859 - 1863), later renamed New Fort Pierre. Site was located 3 1/2 miles north of the site of the original Fort Pierre.
