What is "feren"

Feren is a lake in the municipality of Meråker in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. A small part of the lake extends into the municipalities of Stjørdal, Levanger, and Verdal at the northwestern end of the lake. The lake lies about north of the municipal center of Midtbygda, about north of the lake Funnsjøen, and about north of the lake Fjergen.
