Farsan
Farsan (, also Romanized as Fārsān; also known as Fārsā, Fārsīān, and Farsūn) is a city in and the capital of Farsan County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 26,219, in 5,665 families.
Farsan (food)
Farsan ( Gujarati: ફરસાણ, Marathi:फरसाण) is a collective term used for a type of snacks in Maharashtrian cuisine and Gujarati cuisine, from the Indian state of Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Some are fried items which are then dried and can be stored, others are fresh or steamed. Some popular examples are:
- Shev
- Ganthiya
- Namkeen (food) or farsan mixture
- Dhokla
- Khandvi
- Ragda (garnished fried potato patties)
- Batata vada
- Patra ( colocasia leaves rolled up with a spiced gram flour batter and steamed and garnished like dhoklas)
