FaktorTel Pty Ltd. is an Australian-based communications company that uses its VoIP network to deliver phone service to residential, business and wholesale consumers. FaktorTel is the owner and operator of their purpose built VOIP network spanning all major capital cities across Australia and have formed agreements with Optus, AAPT, PowerTel and MCI ( Verizon) which provides them with National and Global reach.

FaktorTel was founded in Queensland, Australia in April 2004 by Christopher and Allan Cowling and received an Australian government grant for providing VoIP throughout Regional and Rural Australia.

In October 2008, FaktorTel opened an additional branch using its vspPanel product in Texas in the USA with further advances into Canada, Ireland and the UK scheduled for 2009. FaktorTel USA also saw the release of partnerships with incoming number firms to allow for incoming numbers to be routed worldwide in 50 countries and 9000+ locations.

In December 2014 FaktorTel Acquired ATPNet a Division of Austech Partnerships, widely regarded as Australia's oldest VOIP provider adding additional network resources as well as increasing the customer base by approximately 5%.

In December 2015 FaktorTel was acquired by the public company Over The Wire Ltd and now operates under the Over The Wire umbrella of companies, (ASX:OTW).
