What is "euro-orphan"

Euro-orphan - a child whose parent or parents emigrated to a country member of the European Union without the child because of economic reasons. Sometimes therapeutic or psychiatric care is needed. The EU supports family reunification. Migrating families are sometimes divided by local child services ( Jugendamt).
