Eucalyn \Eu"ca*lyn\ ([=u]"k[.a]*l[i^]n), n. (Chem.) An unfermentable sugar, obtained as an uncrystallizable sirup by the decomposition of melitose; also obtained from a Tasmanian eucalyptus, -- whence its name.
