Embowel \Em*bow"el\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Emboweledor Embowelled; p. pr. & vb. n. Emboweling or Embowelling.]

  1. To disembowel.

    The barbarous practice of emboweling.

    Note: Disembowel is the preferable word in this sense.
