EcoSCART

EcoSCART is a technology available for audio-video equipment supposed to be connected to the TV set thanks to a SCART cable. An equipment that embeds the ecoSCART function goes to standby or wakes up automatically with regards to the status of the TV set. The purpose is

  • Save energy by preventing from the equipment to remain operating whilst the TV is OFF
  • Ease the use by automatically put the TV in external mode, whatever the sequence of switch on

The first equipment in which ecoSCART has been implemented is the TDT adapter zapbox EH-M2.
