Dyrrhachium (theme)
The Theme of Dyrrhachium or Dyrrhachion was a Byzantine military-civilian province ( theme) located in modern Albania, covering the Adriatic coast of the country. It was established in the early 9th century and named after its capital, Dyrrhachium (modern Durrës).
