Dudduvaru is Duddu is the surname of one of the sects of Brahmins called Aaramadravidas and Dravidas. Duddu is derived from the language Tamil means Money. Long ago the people with this surname migrated from Tamil Nadu to Andhra Pradesh for their livelihood. People with this surname are found in the areas around East Godavari and West Godavari.
The original surname of the sect is Ayyala Somayajulu or Ayyasola.Their Gothram is Koundanyasa. The surname Duddu must have come because of the wealth they had.
