Dream Team (Australian rules football)

The Dream Team was an Australian Football League (AFL) representative team created to take part in the AFL Hall of Fame Tribute Match against a Victorian representative team.

Although not officially a State of Origin game, eligibility for the Dream Team was based upon State of Origin rules: players who played their junior football within Victoria were eligible for Victoria, and players who played their junior football outside Victoria (including international players) were eligible for the Dream Team. The "Dream Team" concept was similar to the Allies, a composite State of Origin team representing players from anywhere except for South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia.

The Dream Team wore a predominantly white guernsey, with beige cuffs and collars, and blue numbers and side panels. The names of 1246 community and grass-roots football clubs competing within the Australian states and territories eligible for the Dream Team were also included in beige across the front.

The Dream Team, captained by Andrew McLeod, were defeated 21.11 (137) to 18.12 (120) by Victoria.

Dream Team (The Office)

"Dream Team" is the twenty-second episode of the fifth season of the television series The Office, and the 94th overall episode of the series. It originally aired on NBC in the United States on April 9, 2009. In the episode, Pam and Michael try to keep each other motivated as the two form their new paper company together. Michael recruits Ryan for the company, which sets up a new office in the same building complex as Dunder Mifflin. Meanwhile, Jim tries to impress new boss Charles Miner by claiming to be a soccer enthusiast, but it backfires when Dwight convinces the two to face each other in a game.

The episode was written by B. J. Novak and directed by Paul Feig. It included a guest appearance by Idris Elba, who played new Dunder Mifflin vice president Charles Miner. The episode aired the same day as the Office episode " Michael Scott Paper Company"; the debut episode of the new NBC show Parks and Recreation was shown between the two episodes. "Dream Team" marked the return of Ryan, who had not appeared on the show since the November 2008 episode " Frame Toby". The episode received generally positive reviews and, according to Nielsen ratings, was watched by 7.2 million viewers and captured the most viewers in its time slot for adults between the ages of 18 and 49. "Dream Team" received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Comedy Series.

Dream Team (2003 film)

Dream Team is a 2003 gay pornographic film, produced by Blue Pictures and directed by M. Max. In the film, Alan and other Brazilian football (soccer) teammates play different "rules" of soccer. One team can score a goal, so the other team "loses an article of clothing". In one game, all players are wearing only "brief swimsuits" and then end up playing the game naked. After the game is over with goals, men are hitting off together. The first scene has two black men at "an outdoor shower". In-between scenes are filled with either male orgy or threesome. The fifth and final scene shows two penetrating each other in the shower room.

The Sex Herald website rated this movie three and a half stars out of five and found it enjoyably pleasurable, despite "bad lighting in outdoor scenes", like many films by the studio Blue Pictures. A reviewer from Rad Video rated it four out of five.

The film was re-released by Sparta Video in 2007 as Better than Football.

Dream Team (season 9)

The ninth series of Dream Team was broadcast on Sky1 from October 2005 to May 2006, covering the 2005-06 English football season. It followed the story of Harchester United in their first back in the Premiership after winning promotion at the end of the previous season.

Season nine of Dream Team saw the programme undergo a major revamp in an attempt to stem the continuing decline of ratings in previous years. Various new characters were introduced, a new title sequence and remixed theme music were introduced, and more often dealt with storylines of a more grittier nature, that had first been explored towards the conclusion of the previous season. 31 episodes were produced in this season, one fewer than previous. This included a 90-minute feature-length special midway during the run as well as two episodes being shown back to back towards the conclusion of the season.
